Debian - how to build the distro

Hi,

could you describe how to replicate the build of Debian for the Rubik Pi3?

Did you use debootstrap?

Would it be possible to write the guide like there exists one for Yocto?

Dear customer

The current RubikPi Debian version is not open-source. We plan to release a new version of Debian in early June, and will simultaneously open-source the Linux kernel code and user-manual. Please stay tuned for further information. :smiling_face_with_hearts:

Glad to here that.

So the Debian is not using this kernel you publish on the github?

Also since it’s embedded board have you considered Armbian?

I have discussed with our dev team about this, and they are quite interested in Armbian.
Therefore, it is highly likely that a related version may be released in the future; however, this is still a preliminary idea, and we are unable to provide a release schedule now.

Hi, I was just wondering how it was going with the Debian build open-sourcing. Thank you for your prompt responses!

Dear customer,
The Debian version is currently planned for release in August.

Hello Kinkin, this is Mecid from Armbian. We’re currently working on the Qualcomm Dragonwing family and saw this thread there is interest from RubikPi in the project too. Let’s collaborate
