I have seen an Ubuntu image on the official Rubik Pi 3 website. Is the process as simple as flashing this image into the Rubik Pi 3? Or there are other procedures involved? If so, is there a guide for that?
Also, does the Qualcomm A.I. Hub runs on Ubuntu or it requires the Qualcomm Linux?
Hi, many thanks for the information. I was seeing a complete different guide from Thundercomm website here. In that guide, they use T-Flash utility to flash the OS image. Which one is correct? I am confused.
Hi, many thanks. I see that the Desktop version does not support graphical A.I. Is there a plan to have a desktop version that support graphical A.I.(Adreno GPU) in the future? If not, will Debian support graphical A.I.? Thank you.
Debian version already supports graphical A.I. (running on DSP) and will be released in the future.
Ubuntu Desktop version will also be supported in the future.
Hi, we have received 5 pieces of Rubik Pi 3 recently. It seems they come with Ubuntu Server installed. But when we try to follow your guide to change the Ubuntu Server to Desktop edition. It shows the error that packages can not be found. What are we doing wrong? The Wi-Fi is connected and ping is working.
Also, when I try to install “ubuntu-gnome-desktop” on the Ubuntu server. It also say package not found.
By the way, I tried to flash the Ubuntu Desktop pre-build image using Qualcomm Launcher. It also failed by saying directory not found.
The Ubuntu version from the factory is relatively early; we recommend reflashing the latest release. https://ubuntu.com/download/qualcomm-iot#rubik
Please refer to the following link and use QDL to flash.
